Serving suggestions

Serve this rosé wine slushing as soon as it is made! I like to serve it to guests in a stemless wine glass. Cut slices into a ripe fresh strawberry and use that as a garnish for the glass.

This is the best kind of drink to serve at a summer barbecue. Serve it alongside these other barbecue favorites:

What rose wine should i use to make frose?

There are many different kind of rosé just like there different types of white and red wine.

I prefer to make this frose recipe with dry rose wine because it gives the rose a stronger wine flavor. For this reason, I look for rose made with grenache, syrah or pinot noir varietals.

Ingredient Substitutions

I love the taste of strawberry frosé, but you can use so many different types of frozen or fresh fruit to make this recipe. Use half frozen strawberries and half frozen watermelon to make a refreshing strawberry watermelon frozen rose.

You can even use raspberries or mixed berries to change the flavor slightly. Be sure to strain out the seeds before blending in the ice, especially if you are use raspberries.

I use plain granulated sugar to sweeten my frosé, but you can omit the sugar completely, add to it for extra sweetness or use a different sweetener. Simple syrup, maple syrup, agave or honey will all work well in place of the sugar.

To add a bit of sour flavor to the rose, you can squeeze some lemons into the mixture before blending. The lemon juice adds the perfect sweet and sour flavor.

How to make an easy frose recipe

Step 1: Blend rose with frozen strawberries

To begin, add frozen strawberries, rose wine and sugar to a blender. Blend on high until smooth.

Step 2: strain, add ice and blend again

Then, pour mixture through a strainer to strain out any strawberry seeds. Pour strained mixture back into the blender and add the ice cubes.

Finally, blend again until a smooth mixture remains. Serve in wine glasses with a fresh strawberry garnish.

How can i make frosé with vodka?

This simple frosé recipe only calls for wine, frozen strawberries and sugar, but if you want to up the amount of alcohol you can add vodka.

I like to add 1 shot of vodka per serving of each rosé wine slushie. For this recipe you would add 2 shots of vodka.

You can also add blanco tequila or some coconut rum depending on your flavor preferences.
