The device is designed to effectively remove unwanted hair from the body without causing damage to the skin, making it a safe and efficient solution for achieving smooth and hair-free skin.
How does it work?
The principle of hair removal is the theory of selective photothermolysis (SPTL), which was published by Anderson and Parrish in Science magazine, in 1983. The theory interprets lasers as a method of producing localized tissue damage leaving the surrounding tissues unaffected.
This means that if we apply appropriate wavelength light to the treatment area, melanin in hair follicles, rather than other tissues, will be selected to absorb the light, and then convert light into heat energy. Hair follicles that support hair growth will be destroyed, resulting in hair loss or permanent hair removal.
Why 808nm?
The ideal wavelength for hair removal should be mostly absorbed by melanin, not by other tissues (like water, oxyhemoglobin, etc).
808nm wavelength semiconductor laser goes through our skin and directly arrives at the melanin in the hair follicle with little absorbed by other tissues. The heat energy transformed from the light will burn and destroy only follicles, so as to avoid skin burn and lessen skin hyper-pigmentation. It is safe and effective.

A cooling system is critical to a laser hair removal device, it is related to customer experience and device service life. A good cooling system protects your skin from pain, redness, burns, and hyper-pigmentation.
ViQure EpiPro adopts the most advanced TEC (Thermoelectric Cooling) cooling technology which will continuously cool our skin and protect the epidermis from burns. Recommended Treatment Parameters
Note:
- The cold gel needs to be applied thinly, and the moving speed of the handle on the skin needs to be slowed down during hair removal treatment. The frequency can be set to 1Hz if necessary to change the treatment mode from continuous shooting to single shooting therapy.

it's still early for a full review
I purchased this to replace my very old IPL at home device. So far it's been very easy to use and I'm pleased with my purchase. That said, it's too early to really review how successful I am at removing any of my stubborn hair that the IPL device was not able to remove.
