DECEMBER 10, 2002 ONLINE AT DAILY JOURNAL PAGE 7 RECORDS OBITUARIES Georgia Bowyer of Georgia Minnie Bowyer Manhattan, Kansas, formerly of Farmington passed away on December 8, 2002 at the Hills Retirement CommuMeadowlark nity at the age of 90 years. She was born on February 22, 1912, at Loughboro, the daughter of the late Samuel Nashville and Irene (Kitchen) Nicholson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles William Bowyer, and by 11 brothers and sisters. Georgia wast longtime employee of the Mineral Area Osteopathic Hospital dietary department where site retired in 1981. She was also a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington and a founding member of the Delassus Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Charles William Harold Bowyer, Jr. of Franklin Farmington, and wife Brenda of Festus, and Alva E. Bowyer and wife Yolanda of Junction City, Kansas, by nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 9 a.m.

to noon on Thursday, December 12, 2002. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Farmington with Rev. Rocky Good officiating. Burial will follow at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

Survivors: loving companion, Georgia, Whitebread, Irondale; her children: Ashley Whitebread, St. Mary's, Joshua Coppedge, Park Hills, Jason Whitebread, Illinois; two grandchildren. He was born on June 28, 1934, at Doe Run, the son of the late Bert L. and Jessie (Woods) Watkins. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William "Billy" Watkins and Alvin "Glen" Watkins. Before his retirement, Mr. Watkins worked for the State Hospital for 30 years.

He was also: a farmer and a deacon at the Coffman Baptist Church. He was a member of 1.0.0.F. Lodge No. 48. He is survived by his wife, Connie Watkins, by two sons, Michael Watkins and wife Linda of Jamestown, ND, and Bradley Watkins of Coffman, a daughter, Karen Elders of Arnold, two brothers, Medford "Chub" Watkins and wife Dot of Colorado City, CO, and James "Jim" Watkins and wife Eileen of Farmington, a sister, Geraldine Hughes of Farmington and a twin sister, Bonnie (Mrs.

Ronnie) Whitener of Dandridge, TN, two grandchildren, Brandon Elders and Bobby G. Watkins, and a special nephew, Glen "Eddie" Watkins of Doe Run. Other nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2002.
